The Xiaomi Civi 2 is set to debut in China on September 27. The company is teasing the specifications of its upcoming lifestyle smartphone before that.
The company unveiled the smartphone's back design yesterday. The front design and specifications of the phone's selfie camera were revealed today.
According to information released by the company today, the Xiaomi Civi 2 will include a pill-shaped cutout for two front-facing cameras. Like with the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, this pill will appear in the center of the top screen.
Camera holes on Android smartphones had previously been pill-shaped. However, the Xiaomi Civi 2 will be the first device to include the pill as its focal point. The pills were either on the top left or top right side of earlier phones.
According to Xiaomi, the cutout would also hold two 32MP cameras. ALD anti-glare coating, an f/2.0 aperture, and autofocus functionality will all be included on the main sensor. A wide-angle lens will be mounted on the secondary sensor, though.
Quad-LED flashlights will be placed next to the two cameras. The earpiece will include two LED lights, one on each side.
According to earlier teasers, the phone will be 7.23mm thick and 171.8g in weight. It will reportedly run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC, however the company has not yet confirmed this.
