Apple iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro Max charging rates have been revealed

The Apple iPhone 14 series was just recently released for the global market. Since the device's release, we have already covered numerous reports about it, covering everything from availability to known bugs. However, the most recent information has revealed the charging rates of the new iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

The information comes from a Chinese website named Chongdiantou, which tested a number of Apple power adapters on the new iPhone models released in 2022. Interestingly, they decided to test both the series' entry-level model and its most expensive version. The test essentially showed off the charging speeds of the two iPhones and even made a recommendation as to which charger would be best for rapid charging.

Considering these findings, the Cupertino-based company's 29W or higher power adapters are capable of charging the iPhone 14 Pro Max at a maximum 27W. The iPhone 14 Plus and iPhone 14 Pro ought to have a similar charging pace to these two models. Therefore, the greatest charging performance and compatibility with the most recent iPhone series should be provided by Apple's approved 30W USB Type C power adapter.

Since the company has never officially disclosed the fast charging rates of its iPhones or even their battery capacities, this report is rather noteworthy. The iPhone 14 Pro Max has a maximum charging speed of 26 to 27W, while the iPhone 14 has a 25W charging speed, according to Chongdiantou's testing of many Apple chargers. These numbers may seem underwhelming when compared to those provided by their Android competitors, but we can only hope that the iPhone 15 series, which may include a USB Type C connection, will increase the charging rate.
